Privacy and cookies
How this website handles your information, in plain terms. It covers the pages at dwelldelta.com.au: what they measure, only if you agree, and how to change your mind.
DwellDelta is a service of Xcelerent Pty Ltd · ABN 14 701 983 995. This is a plain-language summary, not a formal legal privacy policy.
Nothing is measured unless you accept
On your first visit the site asks whether it may measure your visit, with two equal choices: Accept and Reject. Until you choose Accept, no analytics script loads and no analytics cookie is set. If you choose Reject, nothing loads, and every page works the same.
Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage, so you are not asked on every page. To change it, use Cookie settings at the foot of any page.
What is measured if you accept
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): the pages visited, roughly where in the world a visit came from, the device and browser, and how you arrived. It reports patterns across visits.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation): how pages are used, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, shown to us as heatmaps and as recordings of visits.
We use what they report to improve the site, not to identify you.
The cookies
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies on this site named _ga and
_ga_7QM2Y0LSHM, and Clarity sets _clck and _clsk. Microsoft
may also set its own cookies on Microsoft's addresses, such as MUID. This site cannot
read or remove cookies set on Microsoft's addresses.
Not for advertising
We tell Google Analytics that advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are all denied, and Google signals are switched off. We tell Clarity that ad storage is denied, which asks Microsoft not to use the visit for advertising. We do not use either tool for advertising.
Where the data goes
Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation are based in the United States, so this measurement data is processed there. Each is governed by its own terms: policies.google.com/privacy and privacy.microsoft.com.
Changing your mind
- Choose Cookie settings at the foot of any page, then Reject. Both tools are told, their cookies on this site are removed, and the page reloads with nothing measured.
- Clear this site's cookies and data in your browser. Cookies Microsoft set on its own addresses stay until you clear them there.
- Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every site: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Asking what was recorded
To ask what a visit recorded, or to have it removed, email lingtao@xcelerent.com, and we will pass the request on to Google or Microsoft where the data sits with them.
